|
Acknowledgements: The development of RISKMAN was a collaborative effort, funded jointly by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and the Northwest Territories Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development. RISKMAN extends former deterministic harvest models developed in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, University of Minnesota, University of British Columbia, and the Canadian Federal/Provincial Polar Bear Technical Committee. This simulation model also benefited from comments following a presentation by Mitchell Taylor at the International Bear Association Meetings in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1995. |
